Starshine offers premium childcare during wedding festivities, brightening them for kids and their families. Kids play games, dress up, make crafts, go on treasure hunts, perform magic tricks, listen to stories, sing songs, and when needed are tucked into bed so adults can fully enjoy the wedding experience.
Starshine provides a screen-free, outdoor (when possible), and unique experience for kiddos. We hope it will be memorable and just as fun as the wedding party is for the adults. If using an indoor space, we always leave it cleaner than when we arrive. In addition to fun, we have the children’s safety in mind at all times. We require families to communicate directly with us ahead of time so that we are best prepared to take care of each unique child and make sure they are safely returned to families at the end of the day.
Starshine creates a custom experience based on your needs. We carefully craft activities for any group and number of kiddos ages 0+ and can travel to most Central Oregon wedding venues. Started in 2019 as a kids summer camp, Starshine has grown to include a variety of different services for children and adults including childcare at weddings and community events, summer camps, birthday parties, as well as mini camps and stargazing tours at various resorts in Central Oregon.
Owner and director, Jennie Sharp, is a Mom of two awesome kiddos, and a licensed Oregon teacher who teaches performing arts and music part time at Black Butte School in Camp Sherman. She selects only the best caregivers to work alongside her!
